Akira Toriyama will be inducted into the Harvey Awards Hall of Fame
The successful mangaka and creator of Dragon Ball Akira Toriyama will enter the Hall of Fame of the Harvey Awards in the United States, the distinction will be for his contributions to art and entertainment.
Bird Studio and Capsule Corporation Tokyo commented on Toriyama’s nomination:

Akira Toriyama is recognized in the world of manga/anime for his great work Dragon Ball, among his creations also stand out Dragon Quest, Chrono Trigger and Blue Dragon.
Toriyama passed away in Japan on March 1, 2024, inheriting his legacy to many people around the world.
Other manga/anime creators who have been inducted into the Harvey Awards Hall of Fame include Osamu Tezuka, considered the “God of Manga,” and Rumiko Takahashi, creator of Ranma 1/2 and Inuyasha, inducted in 2020 and 2021.
